Even though it doesn’t feel like it, sometimes I get day off here and there. Now these days off aren’t really time away from work, it’s about the limousine. Getting it serviced at a garage by a mechanic and taking it down to the car wash to get cleaned and detailed — you have to look good to be good.
This is one of those days, hopefully there’s an actual day off coming soon but for now, i have to make my ride roll smooth and shine in the sun. I spend most of the morning at the garage, waiting for the work to be done and honestly it’s boring as all h-e-double hockey sticks. The work gets done and now all that is left is to get the limo cleaned out and cleaned up. But when I get my regular spot to get the car done up, it’s closed — there’s a sign about some kind of family emergency so I’m out of luck. I quickly whip out my phone and search for the closest spot near by because I really don’t want to prolong this any longer than I have to. As luck would have it, there’s a car wash just 7 minutes down the road so I make my way to get this done and over. Typically, I clean out the inside of the limousine before I take it to get serviced so it’s ready to go, just need the outside to be spotless.
I don’t usually stick around and watch the limo get cleaned but since these aren’t my regular guys, I had to make sure. So after the vehicle comes out of the rotating brushes and pulls out to get detailed, that’s when get being to get interested! Now the detailing is what really counts when getting your car washed — sure water and soap take off the dirt and the grime but the polishing and buffing is what actually makes the most difference. The car wash guy that comes out to wipe down the limousine is like no other man I’ve seen before — I’m not sure if he’s an athlete or what but damn! Tall, dark and handsome barely covers what this guy has going on: strong arms, broad shoulders and other ‘a-hem’ attributes that girls and women very much appreciate. The loving care he took in polishing every inch of the vehicle, the ultimate focus he displayed in making sure there were no water spots or streaks and the fact that he took his time, buffing hard and slow, all at the same time.
It wasn’t an overly hot day but you could have fooled me with how hot I was beginning to feel so I went and got a cold drink from the pop machine. On the way back, as I was opening the can, I wasn’t paying attention to what was in front of me and bam — ran right into super hot car wash guy. You would think that I was embarrassed but not me, it was a perfect opportunity to give him my business card and ask if he ever needed a ride, he should call me. He smiled, slipped the card into his back pocket, leaned close to my ear and said that’s a good idea — not bad for a ‘day off’.
