The other day I was sitting at the desk letting my mind wander, and this one thought would not allow me to go back to thinking things that have a point. Why are there no limousine aircrafts? Sure, there are luxury airplanes that run the entire gamut from “has a mini-bar” to “is actually a flying nightclub”, but I could not find (in a short, un- methodical, lazy search) any instances of someone physically elongating an aeroplane to make it in to a limousine. Is it because we do not have the same fixation on the bodies of airplanes that we do on classic and expensive automobiles? Is it purely because it is a stupid idea and a plane elongated in this way could not fly as well? Of course, but that doesn’t stop people from making limousines out of cars that drive like mess- hall tables with wheels. C’mon engineers and decadent rich people: get to work! Nothing says luxury like wasting gallons of jet fuel making some byzantine monstrosity that looks like a flying train fly just because you want it to.
